Stop, Drop, and Roll

If your lineup is on fire, the only way to fix it is to

  • Stop hoping for a turnaround
  • Drop the worst players on your roster, no matter if they have a big name
  • Roll to the playoffs with the extra roster space for big pickups

So, without further adu, get your extinguisher and let’s put out the fire.

Drop it like it’s hot

I can’t help but laugh when I look at that photo.  I do feel bad for RGIII and his injury issues.  I legitimately thought “the 3rd” was going to show up Andrew Luck as the best QB of that draft class.  Fast forward a few years and now we (or maybe just me) can see the major disadvatage of a mobile quarterback.  Some can pull it off a la Russel Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, and Johnny Football (in college anyway).

Then there are some others that prove why coaches prefer the traditional pocket passer approach.  Mike Vick’s ribs come to mind and I’m sure every OC in the league would prefer their franchise QB to take the field with all the ligaments in their knees in tact.
